AVIVA SALE: Buyer Looking To Sell Life Insurance Divsion | News
Title (Max 100 Characters)
The sale of Aviva USA to a private equity firm isn’t complete yet, but the soon-to-be-owner is reportedly already trying to split the company up.
Apollo Global Management recently bought Aviva for $1.8 billion, the sale will be finalized in September.
The Des Moines Register reports the company is already talking about merging Aviva’s life insurance division with a life insurance company it already owns. Then selling off the combined company.
That merger and sale would likely lead to layoffs in the Des Moines area, but it’s too soon to know how many.
Aviva employs 1,400 people at its West Des Moines headquarters.
