TAX EVASION: West Des Moines Man Guilty | News
A West Des Moines man has pleaded guilty to one count of income tax evasion.
Charles Barbour admitted he failed to report all of the income he earned from his denture making practice between 2006 and 2009.
Records show in 2006 Barbour understated his income by more than $80,000 and by $50,000 in 2007 and 2008.
He could face up to five years in prison when he is sentenced in May.
Authorities say Barbour must also work with the IRS to pay all back taxes, penalties and accumulated interest.
