Many people made eggs or maybe poured cereal for breakfast Friday morning but others were able to start their day with chocolate.
Friday, Van & Bonnie from WHO Radio held their annual chocolate breakfast.
Channel 13′s Jenny Hettmann got her sugar high at the Hy-Vee Conference Center in West Des Moines covering the morning’s toughest assignment.
The chocolate breakfast ran from 5 – 9 a.m. and featured chocolate nachos, chocolate oatmeal, chocolate chili, chocolate cupcakes, truffles, ice cream, and more decadent treats.
Those who attended also got the chance win one of three $1,000 Hershey’s/Hy-Vee gift cards or a chocolate diamond.
The event was free but attendees were asked to bring canned items for the community outreach programs at Lutheran Church of Hope.
