CAMPAIGN HISTORY: Man Hauls Giant Memorabilia Home
A West Des Moines man is the proud new owner of a piece of Iowa campaign history.
Twenty-seven-year old Don McDowell found the giant metal sign engraved with the Romney campaign logo on Craigslist. The 300 pound steel sign traveled around the state and was featured as a prop at Romney events.
McDowell says he got the sign for free, but had to rent a truck and pay a few friends to load it.
He is a collector of political memorabilia from both parties. For now, McDowell says the sign will be stored in his garage.
