HILLSIDE CLASSES: Students And Staff Thank Hope | News
Before they move, Hillside Elementary students and faculty thanked the hosts of their make-shift school.
Tuesday, they held a special celebration to show their appreciation. The students and their teachers put on a show at Lutheran Church of Hope.
They spent 51 days at the West Des Moines church. The church offered the school space for the students free of charge.
Crews replaced all the windows and the school underwent remediation where needed at Hillside Elementary.
The school will hold classes there next Tuesday.
