CREEK RENEWAL: Adopt A Stream | Community Spirit
Enjoying the environment in our neighborhood requires background effort to keep it clean and safe to use.
West Des Moines is offering a chance for community members, organizations and businesses to adopt a creek.
The Adopt a Stream campaign is intended to improve water quality and erosion. Volunteers will be helped by Metro Waste Authority with resources to stream-line a clean-up event. Items like gloves, litter grabbers and safety vests will be provided.
You or your group will also have an added connection with the chance to name, clean, enjoy and celebrate streams.
