INTERNATIONAL CONCERTS: Local & Chinese Students Perform | Arts & Culture

West Des Moines Community Schools will be hosting fellow musicians from the Shijiazhuang Foreign Language School this week.
Junior high orchestra students will be showing the fellow musicians around February 8th-11th. The visit will end in front Governor Terry Branstad with a concert at 6 p.m. at the Valley High School Auditorium.
70 local students and 56 Chinese students are set to take part in the festivities, playing their respective tradition music.
The visit marks the 30th anniversary of the sister city relationship between West Des Moines and Shijiazhuang and the 10th anniversary of the sister school relationship between the WDMCS and the Shijiazhuang Foreign Language School.
The trip itinerary is as follows:
